| What Exactly is LSI?
It is ok me telling you how wonderful the LSI Content Creator is and how it can help you but if you have no idea
what LSI is then it doesn't matter too much does it.
LSI stands for Latent Semantic Indexing
Rather than trying to reinvent the wheel (or rewrite it in this case) here is the best description I have
found.
A page about Apple computers will likely naturally have terms such as iMac or iPod on it.
Latent semantic indexing adds an important step to the document indexing process. In addition
to recording which keywords a document contains, the method examines the document collection as a whole, to see
which other documents contain some of those same words. LSI considers documents that have many words in common to
be semantically close, and ones with few words in common to be semantically distant. This simple method correlates
surprisingly well with how a human being, looking at content, might classify a document collection. Although the
LSI algorithm doesn't understand anything about what the words mean, the patterns it notices can make it seem
astonishingly intelligent. http://www.seobook.com/archives/000657.shtml
To try and make it simpler I explain it by saying that the search engines expect you to write how you
talk. If you are having a conversation about your children you wont always refer to them as children.
-Toddlers
-Kids
-Brats (depending on how they are behaving that day)
-Teenager
-Baby
-Son
-Daughter
Are all words that may well be used in the conversation about your children, so you should work to get some of
them into the content you are writing about children.
But don't go nuts
Just because you find 50 related words it doesn't mean you have to use them all in every page you write.
